Math Contest Winners
Grade 9 Pascal Waterloo Math Contest award winners were Brett Binnie and Bianca Rainville who both finished in the to 20 % of over 25000 contestants nationally. Brett won the award for top score at CSS. Grade 11 Fermat Waterloo Math Contest award winners were Christina Hu, Ellen Clark and Zoe Zhou who all finished in the top 20 % of over 17000 contestants nationally. Christina won the award for top score at CSS, and Christina also won the award for the top score at CSS in the grade 12 Euclid Math Contest. Congratulations !
Two competitors from Kenzo Dozono’s S.K.I. Karate School in Belleville have been honoured by Shotokan Karate International. Fifteen year old Bianca Rainville has been named the Female Karate-Ka of the Year. Fifteen year old Drew Ferguson was selected the Male Karate-ka of the year. Bianca and Drew are grade 9 students at Centennial Secondary School. They received their awards in Mississauga this weekend. Congratulations Bianca and Drew !
