Congratulations to the Junior Girls Basketball Team for winning
the Bay of Quinte Championships Saturday, November 14. The
team defeated CHSS 22-13 in a very strong defensive game. The
girls advance to COSSA on Thursday, November 19. Good luck team.

Lt. Col Shawn McKinstry who is the commanding
officer for the Hastings and Prince Edward Regiment
shared his history in the military as well as being a member
of five generations to serve in the Canadian Forces. He
asked CSS staff and students to reflect on the sacrifices made
by Canadian men and women. Thank you to the Canadian World
Studies Department for organizing a very special assembly.

Congratulations to the Senior Boys Football Team for
defeating QSS 45-6 in the BQ Championship Game. Pictured
are team captains accepting the trophy. The Jr Football team
were silver medalists after a very close loss to Moira 21-14.

The Junior Boys Football team are headed
to the Bay of Quinte Championships on
Saturday, October 31 after a 18-15 win over
STSS in semi finals. The Junior game will be
at 11:00 am. The Senior Chargers will be playing in the
Bay of Quinte Championships as well at 1:00 at Mary
Ann Sills Field. Best of luck Chargers !
The Bay of Quinte Basketball Officials donated 2,000.00
in memory of former CSS principal Gord Smith to the Cancer
Society after running a girls basketball tournament in October.

Cross Country team members Liam Graham, Sebastian Christmas,
International Student Miko Haruta, International Student Raquel
Valencia, Natasha Luffman and International Student Nadia Gonzalex
enjoyed a colourful fall afternoon to train for cross country. The team travels
to Ganaraska for COSSA on Friday, October 30.
