in an article for "Faces of Quinte" for her endless efforts to raise money for the local

Congratulations to Mrs Clare who was presented with the Basketball Person of the Year Award
by the BQBAO on Saturday, Dec 17. Mrs Clare has coached both boys and girls teams for Centennial
for 27 years, ran the Swish Elementary Program at CSS, and has convened the girls league and several
girls and boys all star games.

The Senior Boys Football Team defeated MSS 16-6 to capture the Bay of Quinte Championship
for the third year in a row. The team was down 6-2 with 1:30 left, when Quarterback Brady Crowe
found Chase Bourgoin in the endzone for a touchdown. Defenseman Kyle Rutter intercepted a Moira
pass with a minute remaining and ran in for a touchdown to secure the win for the Chargers. The team
will play in the AA Cossa Championships on Thursday, November 10 at 1:00 pm. Congratutions and Good
Luck to the team at Cossa !!
On Tuesday December 13th and Tuesday January 17th, there will be St. John Ambulance Therapy Dogs in our school. The St. John Ambulance Therapy Dog Program provides services in a wide range of community settings including schools. The St. John Ambulance Therapy Dog, accompanied by a volunteer handler, offers comfort and companionship to individuals. Students and employees are provided with an opportunity to feel, touch, pet, cuddle and read to the St. John Ambulance Therapy Dog. This voluntary program is supported by a community partner.
