Little Hoops

little hoops  Pictured are coaches for the Little Hoops Elementary Basketball

 Program that started March 24.  Over 130 students from Grade 3 to 8

 are taking part. 

Centennial Hockey Stars

css ontario hockey  Congratulations to Centennial students Nick Hoey, 

  Anthony Popovich, Scoley Dow and Ryan Fraser

  for winning the AAA OMHA Hockey Championships.  

  All four players were also members of the Charger 

  COSSA finalist team.  

Figure Skating Stars

figure skatingCentennial Secondary School students Sydney Vanderveen, Elena Koning and Marisa Koning are featured in the Intelligencer. All 3 girls have advanced to the Provincial Figure Skating championships in Brampton beginning March 13.  Sydney came first in the Gold Women and Gold Triathalon in the EOSIC championships.  Elena came first in the Senior Silver Women, and Marisa placed third in the Star 5 category.  Best of luck to all girls and congratulations !

Alice in Wonderland

alice  The Centennial Secondary Production class will be putting on 

  Alice in Wonderland from May 7 to 9th in the auditorium at 7 pm

  and Sunday, May 10 at 2 pm.  Several activities have been planned to 

  promote the show, click here for details.  

Relay for Life 2015

relay for life The CSS Relay for Life will be held Friday, May29 from 6 pm to 6 am on our field.      Please hand in your registration form and $15.00 fee by May 1.  The committee is accepting registrations and answering any questions during both lunch   hours from March 2-13 in the cafeteria.  You may enter as an individual or as a      team of 10 people.  This Cancer fundraiser was very successful last year raising  over $32,000.00.  

 

Justin Kauflin

justin kauflin  Pictured are Justin Kauflin and CSS Music Teacher Blair Yarranton.

 Justin is a jazz pianist from the USA and the star of the documentary 

 "Keep on Keepin On".  He visited with music students from CSS and 

  other board schools during the day on Friday, February 27 in our auditorium, and then

  made his Canadian debut at the DocFest at the Empire Theatre, where he played with Mr Yarranton.
