Dramatic Arts
THE DRAMATIC ARTS PROGRAM focuses on developing creativity, imagination, interpersonal communication, spontaneity and those skills and talents necessary for successful theatrical expression. Students follow the historical development of the theatre as they do intensive work in creative and interpretive movement, voice, improvisation, commedia dell'arte, historical texts, story telling, text analysis and directing and play writing. Students study solo work, and small and large ensembles. The cost of field studies is the responsibility of the student. Dramatic Arts Admission Requirements: The student will (1) perform a memorized, prepared selection (chosen from those enclosed in the arts package) and (2) be interviewed by Drama Teacher(s).
